Service Description
This experiential play therapy training will focus on the therapist engaging in a day of self-care through play therapy. We will spend time exploring self-care needs, setting boundaries for self, and even exploring personal goals. Throughout the day, participants will engage in experiential interventions to build self-care skills and practice mindfulness while exploring ways these interventions can be utilized with clients when participants are back in their practice settings. Come spend a day—playing and taking care of yourself while learning new interventions for your clients! Learning Objectives: Participants will: 1. Explore the importance or self-care 2. Discuss how poor self-care can impact therapy practice 3. Identify ways in which counter-transference and poor boundaries impact client care 4. Demonstrate 4-6 interventions that can be utilized to promote self-care 5. Demonstrate 4-6 interventions that can be utilized to benefit clients in play therapy 6. Analyze ways to continue to assess personal self-care needs and burnout prevention This is an in-person training. Located at 1002 N. Cancellation Policy
With respect to cancellations and refunds, the policy of Brighter Futures Training & Consultation, LLC is as follows: *If you register for an event and cancel your registration 30 or more days prior to the event, you may receive a full refund minus a $25.00 processing fee. You may also elect to obtain a credit for the paid amount, minus the $25.00 processing fee. *If you register for an event and cancel fewer than 30 days before the event, you are ineligible for a refund. However, you may request a credit for your payment minus the $25.00 processing fee. *Any credit provided will expire 12 months from the date of issue. The attendee is responsible for maintaining the unique code provided by Brighter Futures Training & Consultation, LLC, as it will not be reissued or resent. *If you register for an event and do not attend, our policy is that you forfeit the registration fee, and no refund or credit will be provided. *Brighter Futures Training & Consultation reserves the right to cancel any training due to unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, you will be notified, and a full refund will be initiated within 72 business hours of the cancellation. Brighter Futures Trainings & Consultation's liability for cancellations is limited to the cost of the registration fee. Brighter Futures Trainings & Consultation is not responsible for other expenses incurred by the customer if training is cancelled.
