REGISTRATION WILL OPEN JANUARY 01, 2025 The Kentucky General Assembly mandates that many professionals, including certified and licensed social workers receive training in the recognition and prevention of pediatric abusive head trauma. Pediatric abuse head trauma, commonly referred to as Shaken Baby Syndrome, is a form of physical abuse that involves infants and young children, and often has a severe impact on development. This training is intended to assist with preventing pediatric abusive head trauma by providing information related to risks factors, diagnostics indicators, as well as prevention strategies for soothing infants and regulating the adults in a caregiving role. Objectives: 1.) Review Statistics of Abusive Head Trauma 2.) Define and Describe Abusive Head Trauma and Associated Injuries 3.) Gain better understanding of the anatomy of the infant head and brain 4.) Understand the range of outcomes for the victims of abusive head trauma 5.) Discuss risk factors and prevention of abusive head trauma, including soothing techniques to assist with prevention of pediatric abusive head trauma. 2025 CE information to come. This is a virtual training via Zoom. To receive CE credit cameras must remain on for the majority of the training.

Cancellation Policy With respect to cancellations and refunds, the policy of Brighter Futures Training & Consultation, LLC is as follows: *If you register for an event and cancel your registration 30 or more days prior to the event, you will receive a full refund minus a $20.00 processing fee. *If you register for an event and cancel fewer than 30 days before the event, or if you register for an event and do not attend, our policy is that you forfeit the registration fee, and no refund will be provided. *Brighter Futures Training & Consultation reserves the right to cancel any training due to unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, you will be notified, and a full refund will be initiated within 72 business hours of the cancellation. Brighter Futures Trainings & Consultation's liability for cancellations is limited to the cost of the registration fee. Brighter Futures Trainings & Consultation is not responsible for other expenses incurred by the customer if training is cancelled.
