Service Description

During this training, we will discuss current overdose statistics and some Kentucky Laws. We will also review what Naloxone is and how it works. We will analysis risk factors for opioid overdose and strategies to avoid an accidental overdose; along with safety consideration and how to respond to an opioid overdose. Lastly, we will highlight some resources available in the area. Objectives: 1.) Review laws around Naloxone and calling for help during an overdose 2.) Learn what Naloxone is, what is it used for, how it works, and how to use it **Lunch provided** Naloxone (NARCAN®) saves lives by reversing opioid overdoses. The Lincoln Trail District Health Department's Harm Reduction Services offer FREE access to naloxone to participants. Community members can access naloxone at community NARCAN® boxes throughout the district. Increasing access to this life-saving medication is essential in reducing deaths from overdose. By carrying NARCAN® and being prepared to act in an emergency, we can save lives. Provided by: Lincoln Trail District Health Department CE's Pending for Many Professions. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy With respect to cancellations and refunds, the policy of Brighter Futures Training & Consultation, LLC is as follows: *If you register for an event and cancel your registration 30 or more days prior to the event, you will receive a full refund minus a $20.00 processing fee. *If you register for an event and cancel fewer than 30 days before the event, or if you register for an event and do not attend, our policy is that you forfeit the registration fee, and no refund will be provided. *Brighter Futures Training & Consultation reserves the right to cancel any training due to unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, you will be notified, and a full refund will be initiated within 72 business hours of the cancellation. Brighter Futures Trainings & Consultation's liability for cancellations is limited to the cost of the registration fee. Brighter Futures Trainings & Consultation is not responsible for other expenses incurred by the customer if training is cancelled.
