Service Description

This course will meet the mandated Domestic Violence continuing education training for the Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Marriage and Family Therapist, and the Kentucky Board of Social Work. Following the workshop, participants should be able to: 1.) Identify domestic violence, elder abuse, neglect and exploitation 2.) Identify the effects of domestic violence, elder abuse, neglect and exploitation on adult and child victims 3.) Identify legal remedies 4.) Identify lethality and risk 5.) Identify protocols addressing domestic violence, elder abuse, neglect and exploitation 6.) Understand reporting requirements 7.) Identify community resources and victim services available. Brighter Futures Training & Consultation, LLC is an approved sponsor with The Kentucky Board of Licensure for Marriage and Family Therapists. The KY LMFT Board granted approval for this program on 03/21/2024. The Kentucky Board of Licensed Professional Counselors approved this program on 03/15/2024. Brighter Futures Training & Consultation is an approved sponsor with The Kentucky Board of Social Work (Approval number KBSWSP 2024008).

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy With respect to cancellations and refunds, the policy of Brighter Futures Training & Consultation, LLC is as follows: *If you register for an event and cancel your registration 30 or more days prior to the event, you will receive a full refund minus a $20.00 processing fee. *If you register for an event and cancel fewer than 30 days before the event, or if you register for an event and do not attend, our policy is that you forfeit the registration fee, and no refund will be provided. *Brighter Futures Training & Consultation reserves the right to cancel any training due to unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, you will be notified, and a full refund will be initiated within 72 business hours of the cancellation. Brighter Futures Trainings & Consultation's liability for cancellations is limited to the cost of the registration fee. Brighter Futures Trainings & Consultation is not responsible for other expenses incurred by the customer if training is cancelled.
